Services provided

The assignment concerns 42 apartment buildings (making a total of 115 boiler rooms) equipped with collective heating systems, most of which are also equipped with collective domestic hot water (DHW) systems. A study is carried out for each building to determine whether or not they are legally required to allocate heating costs on an individual basis.

If this requirement is confirmed, each housing unit in the building concerned must be fitted with the following measuring instrument(s): thermal energy meters (TEM) or heating cost distributors (HCD). If that is the case, it is also recommended to fit thermostatically controlled valves and variable delivery pumps in the boiler house.

The assignment includes several aspects:

  • Doing an assessment of heating consumption over the last four years for all the boiler rooms concerned
  • An energy study of each building: assessment of domestic host water usage, calculation of area heating consumption
  • Study of the technical and economic feasibility of fitting measuring instruments for each building
  • Preparing and producing a summary feasibility study for all the buildings
