MANERGY has 300 staff across France, working in our various different centres of expertise. Here is an overview.
Our organization chart
Christian is the founding chairman of MANERGY. He has been involved in the world of energy for 35 years, and more generally in the role of energy services on a daily basis.
After more than 16 years with an energy services operator then 3 years in an engineering and design firm, in 2006, at the age of 42, he started the MANERGY adventure by taking charge of engineering firm SERMET, which was to become MANERGY’s first subsidiary.
Christian developed MANERGY in a benevolent, balanced and responsible ecosystem, both with its clients and with its staff. The group’s growth, currently very strong, is still underpinned by this spirit, the common thread being to become one of the key players in France’s energy transition.
Christian is passionate and actively involved in projects and assignments. He is accountable for the quality and relevance of our approaches. He loves to find new solutions in our engineering and consultancy professions. Constantly in pursuit of innovation, he is a “permanent challenger” of ideas and proposals, with a view to making our solutions more relevant and always going even further.
Christian likes conviviality, music and sport… but also cooking and fine wines: which is by no means a contradiction when you think about it!
His special gifts: A very good listener… except when he’s told “We just can’t do that”!
Involved in energy when he was a boy, Benjamin joined Christian Cannet in 2007, who was hiring his first engineers “ex-factory”.
Becoming an expert in setting up energy efficiency and low-carbon territories projects through numerous assignments, he has worked hard to develop MANERGY’s core activities in its subsidiaries.
At present, Benjamin is MANERGY’s Chief Executive. He jointly manages the group with Christian Cannet, he drives and implements the strategy constructed with his associates and MANERGY’s talents. Resolutely forward-looking, what he loves above all is constructing the MANERGY of tomorrow today, identifying the needs of the market and developing the appropriate areas of expertise. Imagining a vision and getting the staff to support this vision is one of his priorities.
His centres of interest: Instruments that make (a lot of) noise, and sleeping on the ground when on holiday… To the delight of his children!
Pierre has over 23 years’ professional experience.
After extensive experience in the field and in design with a major group operating heating installations and district heating systems, Pierre joined engineering firm SERMET as project engineer in 2006 when it was taken over by MANERGY, and played an active part in developing it, soon becoming its Manager.
He is now the Chief Executive of SERMET, the first subsidiary that joined MANERGY. He likes participating in and supervising a variety of multidisciplinary projects in the field of energy, contributing to consulting services, audits, operational monitoring and project management on a variety of buildings and infrastructure assets, as close as possible to our Clients.
Marc has over 30 years’ professional experience in services and energy: in the operation of heating and climate system as profit centre manager, in the distribution of energy through urban systems as market manager and for 6 years in a thermal, fluids and buildings engineering firm. A career path that enables Marc to comprehend all the stages of the value chain!
At MANERGY, Marc is the Chief Executive of subsidiaries AGOTHERM and ETUDE DES FLUIDES.
His ambition? Assist his clients in the energy transition and meet their needs in their energy efficiency, building renovation, energy-saving and heating equipment renewal programmes. In a word, providing efficient solutions for managing property assets.

Passionate about energy and environmental topics when he was in secondary school, Pierre developed this interest in constructing his academic and professional career path: a general engineering graduate from the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), a Master’s degree from the Paris School of Mining Engineering in “optimization of energy systems”, his first post as energy expert at the second largest wastewater treatment plant in France, then contract manager in a engineering firm of national dimensions based in Bordeaux. In 2014, Pierre joined MANERGY and contributed to the formation and development of SERMET Sud-Ouest, based in Bordeaux.
At present, Pierre is Chief Executive of SERMET Sud-ouest, SACET and CARTE, MANERGY’s subsidiaries in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions. Close to the teams and attuned to his clients, he always tries to provide pragmatic and effective solutions for implementing the energy and environmental transition.
His one indulgence? Making tacks on the water! On a keel boat, catamaran or windsurfing board, no matter, as long as he gets a thrill out of it!
After graduating as a heat engineer, Benoit joined a major energy services group. Over a 10-year period he successively held positions as project engineer, operations manager, commercial projects manager and technical manager, during which he acquired a wealth of experience in the core activities of energy transition.
Eager for change, Benoit joined the MANERGY Group in 2008 with the aim of:
- Putting a lot of effort into a business plan on a human scale
- Contributing to the development strategy of an SME.
Currently, the MANERGY Group has become a major consulting firm in energy transition nationwide. Benoit is the Chief Executive of ITHERM Conseil, which has more than 70 staff.
In a world where energy issues are central to debates, MANERGY’s human adventure is only just beginning, there are still many challenges to be taken up.
If you want to see Benoit outside his work environment, go on a bicycle tour of the highest mountain passes in France: you may well see him speeding past you!
Sebastien has over 20 years’ professional experience in consultancy and engineering. With his engineering diploma under his belt, he spent 10 years developing his expertise in a number of positions in consulting and engineering firms.
Armed with these 10 years’ experience, he decided to embark on an adventure, forming his own consulting and engineering firm SF2E in the Lyon region in 2007, to embody his values and his comprehensive approach to the profession. He grew his firm for 5 years then in 2013 he met Christian Cannet, who offered him the opportunity of joining MANERGY. Sebastien saw in this an opportunity to accelerate his development and take on new challenges.
At MANERGY, Sebastien is the Chief Executive of SF2E-CIE, the subsidiary covering the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Burgundy regions. Sebastien defines himself as a pure product of consultancy in view of his varied experience, and particularly likes sharing his vision of the profession and the forthcoming challenges with his colleagues. Some may say he is a chatterbox….no, he is simply passionate..!
Alain has over 38 years’ professional experience in all areas of technical engineering specific to office and commercial buildings.
With a technical education, he graduated from the Ecole nationale supérieure d’Arts et Métiers, and among other things worked for 17 years in Enterprise Management in VINCI Énergies’ “Works” and “Facilities Maintenance” divisions.
Entrepreneurial by nature, in 2008 Alain founded CONSUL’TECH, a consulting firm dedicated to assisting owners and property managers in the complete technical management of the life cycle of buildings.
CONSUL’TECH has become a major player in the energy transition of office and commercial buildings through its Audit and Project management activities, with specific features like building management systems, the security of information systems, climatic engineering and intense current electricity.
Alain and his company joined MANERGY in August 2021: a major ambition for everyone, stimulated by the joy of sharing our expertise.
Currently, Alain proudly heads CONSULTECH as Chief Executive and instils the spirit of innovation in the company.
His centres of interest include playing golf with friends, spending time with his family and, if possible, doing all this on the shores of the Arcachon Basin!
Philippe has worked in the industrial sector for over 20 years. He has worked for major groups, in turnkey factory engineering and construction projects all over the world.
Before joining MANERGY, Philippe held several positions as marketing manager in the field of industrial process automation and in the energy sector.
In 2022 he joined MANERGY as Chief Executive of IROKO, assisting his clients, both leading multinationals and mid-sized companies, in their energy transition and their decarbonization projects.
A developer and builder, Philippe regards IROKO as the key partner for energy and environmental transformation in industry.
His centres of interest: the ocean, where he goes spearfishing and surf casting
Mickael has over 20 years’ professional experience. A graduate of the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée with a Master’s degree in finance, he developed his skills and expertise in a number of financial positions, mainly in developing organizations.
He joined MANERGY in 2019 as Group Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, and with his team he is responsible for the group’s financial management, human resources, legal affairs, IT and central services.
His aim? Help the group in its transformation and contribute to its growth, because Mickael is convinced that tomorrow our clients will need a strong global player capable of supporting them in their energy transition.

Guillaume has over 25 years’ professional experience. After working for 10 years at Procter & Gamble as Operational Marketing Director of the B2B division, and Operational & Strategic Marketing Director of the Perfumes division, he gave in to his entrepreneurial desires and a need to give meaning by forming his own company. Guillaume grew his company for 10 years and developed his expertise in digital communication and media. He joined the MANERGY adventure in 2020, still with the same guiding principle: giving meaning.
At MANERGY, his role consists in raising the brand’s profile and share of mind internally and on the market, strengthening the appeal of the employer brand and supporting development by working on our offers. Guillaume is convinced that MANERGY will be a key player in energy transition in France…. and he intends to make this known and contribute to it!
His centres of interest include travel … not halfway around the world but simply exploring our regions. Cooking for family and friends, sharing a bottle of fine wine and listening to Nina Simone. And sometimes all this at the same time!
After 2 years’ higher education in administrative management, Elodie held several administrative positions in companies and accounting firms. In 2015 she joined SERMET (a MANERGY subsidiary based in Créteil) as administrative assistant, where she discovered the energy transition and its challenges. The subsidiary’s rapid development led to the creation of the administrative officer post, which Elodie quickly filled.
Now Elodie is the Administrative Officer of the SERMET subsidiary, but also of MANERGY.
In her free time Elodie’s passion is Street Art. It’s instantaneous, fast, illegal art that aims to convey a message. Discreet or highly visible, it is provocative and conveys ideas and concepts that she shares.
Her quotation? “Let’s be happy while we wait for happiness” (Miss Tic).
After his studies in hydraulics engineering, fluid mechanics and energy, and keenly aware of energy and climate challenges, Vincent wanted to work on energy issues, primarily from an environmental and energy management perspective. He joined MANERGY in 2009. He has worked in various areas of the business (operational monitoring, project management, assistance to the client) and has developed particular expertise in the modelling of district heating systems.
Vincent is now Methods & Innovation Manager of MANERGY. This role consists in monitoring technological developments and working on the development and adoption of methods and tools common to different entities, striving for quality, efficiency and innovation.
His centres of interest: outside work, Vincent is still just as committed regarding energy and climate issues: among other things, he is a member of the “shifters” association. But he also enjoys many varied leisure activities, such as “modern” board games, rambling, dance and swing music… In a word, Vincent is good company!
